Dumble ODS Clone - ToneX Preset Bundle

A bit about this amp model:



This model is captured from a hand-built clone of a “Dumble Overdrive Special”, 100w, 6L6, “Skyliner” 1980’s design by the world-famous Alexander Dumble; who sadly left us in the recent past. His genius of tone is unparalleled. The circuit uses premium, military-spec  and high-grade audio components. It was built from a schematic - not a kit; and not a known brand circuit.  While every original Dumble amplifier was uniquely designed and modified for the player who ordered one, it should be noted that no two Dumble amplifiers of the same model sound exactly alike. This clone model most closely resembles the design and knob settings used by such renowned guitarists as Robben Ford and Larry Carlton.  It is not a high-gain overdrive design, but more of a medium-gain sound.  What makes these amplifiers so distinct and coveted by pro guitarists is the level of expressiveness achievable from playing dynamics; allowing a smooth transition to an overdrive sound, which is very creamy and warm.



The Overdrive Special has some additional modes that enhance both the clean and overdrive channels.  In addition to the clean and overdrive channel captures, we also captured the “bright switch”,“preamp boost” and the “bright switch + preamp boost” modes for both the clean and overdrive channels. These options allow for a sound with more edge and/or girth. In addition, you will have a choice of both presets with and without speaker cabinet IR models to suit your personal signal path for your sound.
